AUN Schools Orchestra Showcases Skills at Concert

The AUN Schools Orchestra showcased students' violin-playing skills at a concert on February 13, 2020. The orchestra is formed by students of AUN Academy and the Charter School.

The day's star performer was Ms. Vanessa Heart, a second-year Communications & Multimedia Design Major at AUN, who displayed confident skills in singing, dancing and playing assorted musical instruments.

The very passionate entertainer said she loves dances and felt it would be nice to come back to showcase her skills once more to her Alma Mater.

"I might do it again."

During her time as a student, she won talent shows several times and upon graduating received a certificate for her general contributions to student life.

The concert had secondary school students from the neighboring Yola community. The students who came from Abti International Secondary School and Air Force Secondary School also delivered a captivating guest performance.

Head of the Vocational Department, Vincent Odeh, said, "We created this opportunity for our students all of the time to give them a foretaste of what it is like to perform before an audience."

The platform offered a lot of benefits to them while they entertained their audience who enjoyed their performances.

The Administrator of AUN Schools, Mrs. Nkem Uzowulu, told the guests that the institution was committed sees the overall development of every child.

"We don't only teach academic subjects; we also inculcate vocation because at the end of the day we don't know what will put food on the table of the children."
